Definitions of the variables that appear on the horizontal bar at the top of the validator level pages of the Rated Explorer.
Health status
The status of the validator with regards to the evaluation framework set by the Polygon community with the goal of having a more robust validator set securing the network

Total amount staked
The total amount of staked MATIC that maps to this validator, both self-staked and delegated stake.
Network penetration
This is the percentage distribution of stake that maps under any given validator. We calculate this as:
Delegator APR
This is the annual percentage return earned by delegators staking with this validator net of commissions. For more information, please refer to our documentation Annual Percentage Rate (APR).
Effectiveness Rating
The Rated model of validator performance for the Polygon network. The colour coding hints to the relative performance of the entity.

Effectiveness breakdown
Definitions of the variables that appear on the "Effectiveness Breakdown" section of the validator level pages.
Checkpoint Signing Rate
The number of checkpoints signed by a validator out of their total checkpoint signing duties.
Bor Proposer Effectiveness
The number of blocks a validator has proposed on the Bor chain out of the number of times they have been given a chance to propose.
Checkpoint Proposer Effectiveness
The number of checkpoint transactions they have successfully proposed out of the number of times they have been given a chance to propose a checkpoint.
Having a value of N/A in any of the effectiveness components means that the validator has not had a chance to fulfill that duty as they have not been assigned that specific duty yet by the protocol. Hence their effectiveness for that particular duty is not measured.
Effectiveness Rating
The Rated model for validator performance on Polygon.

Stake Overview
Definitions of variables that appear in the "Stake Overview" section of the validator level pages. This does not change with the time window toggles.
Total number of delegators
The total number of delegators that have staked with this particular validator.
Total amount delegated
The total amount of stake delegated to this validator.
Total amount self-staked
The total amount of stake that came from the validator themselves.
Commission rate
The commission rate being charged by this validator to delegators. This is the percentage taken out of the checkpoint signing rewards that are allocated to delegators.
Aggregate rewards statistics
Definitions of variables that appear in the "Aggregate rewards statistics" section of the validator level pages.
Total rewards earned
Total rewards earned by this validator including those to be distributed to their delegators.
Total rewards missed
Total rewards missed by this validator based on missed checkpoint signing duties, checkpoint proposals and Bor block proposals.
Net Validator APR
The annualized return percentage on the total stake of the validator based on the rewards they receive from checkpoint signing, checkpoint proposals, and block proposals on Bor. This in particular refers to the APR after rewards are distributed to a validator's delegators. For more information, please refer to our documentation Annual Percentage Rate (APR).
Delegator APR
The annualized return percentage earned by delegators staking with this validator net of commissions. For more information, please refer to our documentation Annual Percentage Rate (APR).
Heimdall Checkpoint Performance
Definitions of variables that appear in the "Heimdall Checkpoint Performance" section of the validator level pages.
Checkpoint rewards earned
This is the total rewards earned by this validator from checkpoint signing and checkpoint proposals.
Checkpoint rewards missed
This is the total rewards missed by this validator due to unfulfilled checkpoint signing duties and missed checkpoint proposals.
Checkpoint signing miss rate
This is the number of checkpoints that this validator did not sign over the total number of checkpoints.
Bor Proposal Performance
Definitions of variables that appear in the "Bor Proposal Performance" section of the validator level pages.
Priority fees earned
The total amount of priority fees (i.e. transaction fees) earned by this validator from their Bor block proposals.
MEV rewards earned
The total amount of MEV rewards earned by this validator from their Bor block proposals.
Bor proposal miss rate
This is the percentage of Bor proposal duties that this validator missed.
